The MS9601A is a 3-in-1 HD signal switcher chip with a maximum signal rate of up to 3Gbps. At a rate of 3Gbps, the MS9601A can support HD input signals with resolutions of 4K×2K@30Hz and 4K×2K(YCbCr420)@60Hz. The chip integrates a switcher for both DDC and HPD channels, which will switch simultaneously with the corresponding TMDS channels. The chip can be powered by the two built-in voltage converters, eliminating the need for additional power circuits and saving circuit board area and BOM costs. For more flexible use, the chip can be controlled by either a controller with built-in code or an external controller with an I2C interface. The chip has six configurable addresses, which is very convenient when used in cascaded applications. The equalizer at the HD input end and the adjustable drive capability at the output end can adapt to cables of different lengths and qualities, ensuring that the TMDS signals transmitted at high rates always have the best performance. Meanwhile, the chip supports channel switching using infrared remote control or buttons.
